Fire... lightening... our bad luck is frightening! We better knock... knock, knock on wood.
Somehow I think this song was written just for us!
If you haven't heard The Falls House was struck by lightening early last week. The bolt did not cause much damage to the building but our electronic equipment is another story. The bolt managed to take out our phones, email and our computers aren't too happy either.
Fortunately our new phones are now up and working. So if you call in and hear some new noises and voices don't be worried we have just revamped the system!
Our emails and computers are also now working... most of the time! We are still working out a few bugs but overall we are back to business!
So our deepest apologies to anyone who has been calling or emailing and getting no responses. We are up and running full speed, so call or email us with any concerns!
Keep your fingers crossed that our bad luck streak has run out!

Cameron & Jerielle Singleton
Cameron and Jerielle have been planning this fairy tale wedding for 3 years now... but as you can see the wedding was worth the wait. We start this fairy tale with beautiful story with great weather and our own version of the modern day castle. Barclay Villa is nothing less than magical.
The shade of the trees made a gorgeous hidaway for the couple's first moments alone as husband and wife.
Cameron and Jerielle's favorite past time is pool so it seemed fitting to end the night with a shot of the rings with some nearby pool chalk.

Funny story of the night: The bouquet toss is usually a calm but still a fun tradition to have during many receptions. Of course not Jerielle's... if you have ever been in the ball room at Barclay you will know that the ceiling is about 3 stories high decorated with a incredible chandelier. Well most brides couldn't hit the chandlier if they tried BUT our Jerielle must have bought a ticket to the gun show. She manages to not only hit the chandelier but get the bouquet stuck. Next time you are their take a look up and see of it is still hanging in the rafters! Way to go "muscles"!

Jennifer & KJ
Now introducing (drum roll)... Jennifer and KJ!
These two crazy kids are currently living in California so I feel very lucky that we could be worked into their hectic schedule. Like so many of our couples Jennifer and KJ are planning a wedding from afar. I mean if you think planning a wedding is difficult, try doing from 2,000 miles away... stressful! Jennifer seems to be handling it all with style and of course KJ is being helpful by being... agreeable. Ha ha!
Something I want to point out is the importance of having a engagement shoot with your wedding photographer. The engagement shoot is a way of getting comfortable with your photographer and so your photographer can get to know you. I mean how uncomfortable would it be to have a stranger photograph some of the most important moments of your life? So engagment shoots give us a chance to joke with you, see if you are a blinker and of course understand what your style is.
What I learned from this engagement shoot... to look out for KJ's "party hat" at the wedding reception! Ha ha! Love these guys!

Lindsey & Chris Turnau
What can I say about Lindsey and Chris? Let's see... they are awesome! Their wedding in downtown Raleigh went wonderfully! I also have to admit that for June in the South the weather was perfect as well! They could not have asked for a better day.
